Nothing in there.Tried to update Virtualbox and the installation failed with the infamous screen stating - The installation failed, contact the software manufacturer for assistance.On further research I found out it's common and there are tons of solutions out there which already worked. I upgraded to Mojave and it failed to start with errors. The advice was to delete that file, as it is a tweak not an essential anyway and then retry the installation.I was running Mac osx Sierra and virtualbox was already running without any issues. macOS Recovery keeps your files and user settings intact when reinstalling. ![]() And one person had tracked it to an obscure system configuration file that evidently Mojave doesn’t erase or overwrite during installation.
